After their lame start at the ongoing 21st edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games, co-host Amus College School are back to winning ways.

Amus College won 4-1 against Tanzania’s Alliance Secondary School to register their first win at this year’s edition.

Goals from Tamisi Shafiga, Aujat Doreen, and a brace from Opisa Shaylne were enough for the 2023 National champions to spoil the Tanzanians’ day

The sweet win for hope comes after a disappointing 2-0 loss to Butere Girls (Kenya) and a 2-0 defeat to Rines SS in their opening two fixtures.

On the same day, Butere Girls School (Kenya) won 2-0 against Uganda’s Rines SS to extend their 100% winning run.

Meanwhile, in a thrilling Uganda derby, St. Noa Girls’ School bottled a 1-0 to draw 1-1 with defending champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School.

Sumayiah Nalumu scored an early second half goal for St. Noa. However, Monica Nanono’s strike cancelled the lead in the final bend of the game.

On Friday, the 23rd August 2024, St. Noa Girls will face Nyakach Girls High School (Kenya) in a must-win match for automatic qualification.

Meanwhile Kawempe Muslim Secondary School will go up against Tanzanite Secondary School (Tanzania), with both matches scheduled for 1:00 PM on different pitches.
