Rays of Grace Junior School beat Sanyu Primary School (Gomba) 2-0 to lift their straight 4th FUFA Odilo Buganda Region Qualifiers trophy.

This tournament kicked off on Saturday, 3rd August 2024 and climaxed on Sunday, 4th, at Bombo Umea Primary School in Luweero.

Yowasi Maganda converted from the spot in the first half while Steven Sseruwagi Baala sealed the victory with a volley for Rays to emerge champions.

In the semi-finals, Rays of Grace Junior School squeezed past a resilient Namagabi Umea Primary School in a slim 1-0 triumph.

Edris Kaliti scored the only goal of the semi-final duel. Meanwhile, Sanyu Primary School (Gomba) won 3-0 win against Anna Marie Primary School (Wakiso) to reach the final.

Eight (8) schools turned up in the boys’ category while five (5) competed in the girls’ category.

Hope Foundation Masaka (El Cambio Academy partners) were crowned champions for the girls.

On a three (3) goals difference, Hope frog reaped Bombo UMEA to the championship. The two sides were tied on ten (10) points at the end of a round robin tournament.

The National championship will be hosted at FUFA Technical Centre – Njeru with one school representing each of the eight (8) FUFA Football regions in both genders
