Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) have opened up an institution baptized Futsal School Uganda (FSU) purposely to skill and teach children the sport.

The Ugandan Futsal School fully owned by FAU is to avail 360° dimensions and methodologies of using Futsal to technically develop advanced boys and girls to play futsal and football better.

The school shall use futsal football and soccer related activities to make children discover and exploit their strength to live a sustainable life.

 “As a founder, I was always passionate about the beautiful game. However, I realized that there were limited opportunities for young players to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

I discovered futsal, a fast-paced and skill-intensive version of football, and was hooked.

I saw an opportunity to create a platform for young Ugandans to develop their skills, gain exposure, and build a career in futsal and football. Thus, Futsal School Uganda is born 2024”. Said FAU chairman Hamza Jjunju.

Under the them “Play, learn and grow, the Futsal way”, Futsal School Uganda’s cardinal mission is to provide a comprehensive futsal development program for young Ugandans, focusing on skill development, character building, and exposure to opportunities in futsal and football.

The school will develop a structured coaching program with certified coaches, create a training schedule and program plus competitive league for youth teams.

There is also planned partnership with international futsal organizations for tournaments and exposure, offering educational programs on futsal and football as a Sport and business.

Ran on core values of passion for futsal and football development, commitment to excellence and quality, inclusivity and accessibility for all young Ugandans, empowerment through education and skills development, there is light at the end of the tunnel in the sport.

The school’s target audiences arethe young players (ages 3-15 years), coaches and trainers, futsal and Football administrators and officials, parents and guardians among others.

“We believe that every child should be given an opportunity to play futsal.

Sports can develop and improve personalities and social skills and this is a better pathway to diversity”. Hamza Jjunju.
