Busoga United FC’s Mulanda has been handed a twelve match suspension for headbutting the center referee.

Mulanda after being shown red in their game against Gaddafi FC he went on to headbutt the referee before matching off.

For his actions he will miss 12 games and pay fine of 500000/=,

“The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has sanctioned Mulanda Charles Sunday of Busoga United FC with a ten match plus a fine of 500,000/= for breach of FUFA Competitions rules and Article 13(1) and Article 14(3)(vi) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code during the Uganda Premier League match against Gaddafi FC on 24th October 2023 at Gaddafi Arena-Jinja. Mulanda headbutted the referee.

“In addition to the two-match automatic suspension for the send-off in the same game, the player shall miss a total of the next twelve (12) physically played games.”

“The fine must be paid immediately. He is prohibited from taking part in any football activities until the fine is paid in full and the ban is completed.”

He joins URA FC captain Enock Walusimbi who was suspended for two matches after a nasty challenge on Andrew Samson Kigozi and Bashir Asiku for attacking match officials after the URA Vs Wakiso Giants encounter.
