Uganda’s top two Secondary Schools football giants Kibuli SS and St. Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende have played for a 1-all draw in a mouthwatering tie of the ongoing Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) championship.

The highly entertaining contest that created numerous scoring chances was held at Kamena Stadium in Huye on Monday, 21st August 2023.

Derrick Kirungi sent the FEASSSA reigning champions Kibuli into an early lead, five (5) minutes into the game.

Shortly after nine (9) minutes, Fazil Tumwiine equalized for record champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende in the 14th minute.

Record champions St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende (SMASK) started the 2023 edition trophy hunt with a massive victory against Tanzanian side.

Kitende  beat Tanzania’s Kiwira Coal Mine 3-0 in their group opener. Mansur Sadik grabbed a brace whilst Rogers Torach scored the other.

Elsewhere, Amus College School won 2-0 against Shanderema Secondary School. Dynamic forward Allan Ofirwoth scored twice for the Bukedea side.

Ugandas other representative St Henry’s College Kitovu (SHACK) debuted in FEASSSA Games with a 2-0 win over Tanzanian champions Kalangalala.

Godfrey Ssekibengo scored both goals for St. Henry’s College-Kitovu

Amus College School and St. Henry’s College, Kitovu will face of in another all Uganda affair later in the evening.

The 20th edition has 12 Sport disciplines on the menu including athletics, volleyball, basketball (3×3 & 5×5), Rugby (7’s & 15’s), Handball, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis, Netball and football .
