A significant milestone was achieved in Ugandan boxing with the certification of 30 professional boxing ring officials under the World Boxing Council (WBC) and African Boxing Union (ABU) framework.

The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) organized an intensive three-day workshop at Club Obligato in Kampala, from April 24 to 26, 2025, which culminated in the officials receiving their certification.
