The 2017 and 2018 FEASSSA girls basketball champions Buddo SS overcame the 2019 East African champions St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana 24-22 to storm Wakiso district USSSA Fresh Diary Games National qualifiers finals.

The epic semi final was played on Friday, 18th March 2022 at Buddo SS courts.

Buddo progressed to semi final stage in the second position of group A, behind reigning champions St. Mary’s Kitende to meet St. Noa Girls-Zana who led group B.

 

 

The defeat denied St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana a 4th successive Wakiso district final. On all the previous three occasions, St. Noa Girls-Zana beat Buddo SS in the semi-finals.

 

In the second semi final, Wakiso district and national reigning champions St Mary’s Kitende who led group A outclassed group B second placed Exodus College 33-09 to reach the final.

Buddo SS and St. Mary’s Kitende will face off in a highly anticipated final tie next week.

This is the 4th final tie between the two lions since 2015, as their last meeting came in 2017.

Four team in St. Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS, Exodus College and St. Noa Girls-Zana qualified for this year’s USSSA Fresh Diary Games National championship to held in Gulu, in April.
