The Startimes Uganda Premier League matchday ten kicks off this Wednesday as URA FC visits Wakiso Giants FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

The fixture comes as both sides lost their previous games in matchday nine and are hunting for maximum points.

In the last game, URA lost 2-0 at home to Vipers SC, while Wakiso Giants were humiliated by SC Villa, losing 6-1 at Wankulukuku.

In the last six league meetings, each side has won three, and the other two have ended in draws.

The last time Wakiso Giants hosted URA in Wakiso, the hosts won 1-0 thanks to Kenneth Kimera’s brilliant goal.

Speaking to the media, Alex Isabirye is optimistic about securing three points away.

We are not performing well recently, and we want to get back to winning ways this Wednesday. We had a bad day in our last game, but I’m sure we are going to improve and win games.”

Wakiso Giants assistant coach Tonny Mawejje is also aware of the big game but believes that his boys can get the maximum points.

“Our main problem is not utilizing chances, and we’ve worked on it to make sure that we win on Wednesday. We are playing a big team also desperate for points, but the good thing is we are at home, and we must use the advantage and win the URA game.”

A victory for URA will take them to 5th position with the same points (14) as SC Villa.

While a win for Wakiso Giants will propel them to 10th position with the same points (12) as the 7th, 8th, and 9th teams.

Wakiso Giants will continue to miss Luwaga Kizito, Rahmat Ssenfuka, Alex Komakech, Herbert Assimwe, and Derrick Kaija due to injuries.

Musa Ssegujja also picked an injury in the SC Villa game and is ruled out.

Marvin Mukiibi, who is at school, will also miss the game.

For URA FC, they will miss Isma Mugulusi, Denis Otim, Faizo Matovu, and Shariph Kimbowa, while goalkeeper Derrick Ochan is doubtful for this encounter.
