Wakiso Giants won a third game on the bounce after seeing off visitors URA 2-1 at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso.

Norman Ogik and Moses Aliro scored the goals with James Begisa getting the consolation for the tax collectors.

Samson Kiirya returned to goal after missing the last two games while on national duty and was among the three changes including Lawrence Bukenya and Mikdad Ssenyonga.

The lads started well with Frank Ssebuufu heading over a good cross from Ssenyonga while Aliro tested Alionzi Nafian twice.

There was a forced change late in the first half as Ssebuufu paved way for Ogik.

The forward, with his first touch opened the scores after being set up by Ibrahim Kasule.

He had a chance to double the lead before the break but was intercepted by Paul Mbowa.

In the second half, Wakiso Giants played on the counter and had good chances to stretch lead with Ogik and Aliro coming close but with no success.

At the other end, a cross from Begisa was poorly read by Kiirya and it got the URA a leveller in the 58th minute.

But Wakiso immediately attacked and when URA failed to clear their lines, Kasule set up Ogik whose low shot was met by Aliro and from within the six yard area made no mistake.

There were changes with Rahmat Ssenfuka, Tom Masiko and Shariph Kimbowa coming on and the latter forced a late save from Alionzi as the boys took all points.

With 10 points in five games, we are now third on the log and next task will be a home game against Vipers on Tuesday November 8 before we visit SC Villa three days later.
