Uganda Boxing champions league to box off this Saturday

Season three (3) of the highly anticipated Uganda Boxing champions league will box off this Saturday, the 25th May 2024 at Lugogo.

The weigh-in and face-off exercise was held today Friday, 24th at Lugogo.

The main fight will between two Middleweight beasts Broline Kimbugwe of COBAP and Kololo High School young star Nerrick Tumusiime.

Bombers hard puncher who won boxing fraternity souls last year Kasim Mulungi of East Coast will battle a fellow East Coast boxer Trevor Mundenya in the Featherweight (57kgs).

Meanwhile Lukanga Boxing Club’s Wasswa Ssali and Shafik Nassasira of Police will be a fight to watch. This will be the second last bout on the day’s card.

The other interesting bout will be Nandawula Zahara (Lukanga) up against Naava Getrude of Kololo High in the Lightweight (60kg).The swift footwork and offensive styled Nandawula

Kugonza Joyce (UPDF) will take on Nabbumba Shamim (BIT FIT) – Featherweight (57kg)

Despite the few outlined bouts above, there are 20 fights lined up for the day compared to last two editions 13 per weekend.

This weekend shall also witness lots of entertainment from prominent local artists.
