Kawempe Muslim Maintain Top Spot

On Saturday morning, Kawempe Muslim solidified their position at the summit of the table with a narrow 1-0 victory over Uganda Martyrs in Bugolobi.

Agnes Nabukenya’s late winner proved to be the decisive factor, as she expertly slotted the ball past the Uganda Martyrs goalkeeper. This strike took Nabukenya’s tally to five goals, showcasing her impressive form.

The win enabled Kawempe Muslim to maintain their grip on the top spot.

Uganda Martyrs, on the other hand, are now precariously perched only three points above the relegation zone. Their struggles continued, as they have managed to secure only one victory this season.

Kampala Queens Edge Tooro Queens

In another thrilling encounter, Kampala Queens edged Tooro Queens 2-1 in Lugogo, thanks to Zainah Nandede and Shamirah Nalugya’s first-half goals. Atuhaire Masitulah netted a consolation goal for Tooro Queens.

This victory propelled Kampala Queens to within two points of table leaders Kawempe Muslim. Notably, Kampala Queens remains unbeaten.

Tooro Queens, however, find themselves in a precarious position, sitting only one point above the relegation zone with nine games played.

Makerere Hold Olila High School WFC

In Makerere, Olila took the lead through Docus Lwalisa, but Rebecca Nakasato equalized with a bolster header to share the spoils.

This draw allowed Olila to maintain their position in the table but stays in relegation zone.

Wakiso Hill’s Struggles Continue

On Sunday morning, Wakiso Hill’s woes continued as they succumbed to a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Rines in Kitende.

Phiona Arach’s dominant display culminated in her netting the winner at the death of the first stanza, taking her tally to five goals.

This victory marked Rines’ best first-round performance since their promotion to top-flight football.

Wakiso Hill, however, remains the only team without a victory this season, sitting at the bottom of the table with four points and a dismal -15 goal difference.

She Corporate Stumbles Against Amus College WFC

The 2021/22 league champions, She Corporate, struggled once again as they lost 0-2 to newcomers Amus College WFC at home.

Two quick goals from Aujat Doreen and Esther Namataka in the first half sealed the victory for the visitors.

She Corporate now finds themselves in 7th place on the summit with 10 points from ten games, averaging a mere point per game.

Amus College WFC, on the other hand, has made an impressive start to their top-flight campaign, sitting third on the log with 18 points, tied with Kampala Queens, who boast a superior goal difference and two games in hand.

Lady Doves Soar Past She Maroons

Meanwhile, Resty Kobusobozi netted a brace, and Joweria Nagadya added a goal as Lady Doves stunned She Maroons 0-3 in Luzira.

This resounding victory propelled Meddy Nyanzi’s side to 4th place on the table with 17 points and a game in hand.

Kobusobozi’s impressive form has seen her emerge as the top scorer with seven goals.
