Anwaru Ntege scored the only goal as Busoga United edged SC Villa in the relegation battle encounter played at the FUFA technical center in Njeru in the early kickoff of Thursday.

Ntege headed home in the 60th minute in the game Busoga United dominated before sealing a crucial away win to leapfrog SC Villa on the log.

The Jogoos, who came into the game after parting ways with coaches Mubarak Kiberu and Richard Amatre, have lost eight games and remain two points above the drop.

Busoga United meanwhile is now 11th on the log with 20 points after 19 games played while SC Villa dropped to the 12th with 18 points.
