SUPL: KCCA FC comfortably cruise past UPDF to maintain second position spot

KCCA FC made a return to the winning ways in style following a 3-0 win against UPDF FC at Bombo Barracks grounds on Tuesday.
Sadat Anaku, Donato Okello’s own goal and Brian Aheebwa were on the scoresheet for the Kasasiro Boys in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter.
In the seventh minute, Ashraf Mugume‘s freekick was deflected and he was position to hit the rebound which was parrried wide by UPDF’s custodian Yusuf Wasswa.
Anaku opened the scores for KCCA FC when he nodded home from close range following an assist by ⁦Denis Iguma.
In the 29th minute, Achai crossed in the box, Lwanga headed inside no man’s land and UPDF’s Wasswa was quick to deny Anaku from heading it in
Anaku was at it again in the 34th minute with a solo run from the center line, beat his marker and shot but UPDF’s Wasswa fumbled and later saved.
UPDF FC had a chance with a late penalty but a save by Benjamin Ochan denied them a chance to equalize the score.
KCCA FC doubled the lead courtesy of an own goal from Donato Okello in the 65th minute.
Brian Aheebwa then made it 3-0 for KCCA FC when he tapped home in the 81st minute toregister his first goal for the season following a good assist by Sadat Anaku.
