The StarTimes Uganda Premier League newbies Gaddafi FC will make their topflight debut against Busoga United in Jinja derby on Monday October 18th.

The two sides will lock horns at Gaddafi Arena which has been given a green light to host Uganda Premier League games this season.

This is a huge boost for Gaddafi FC who are set for their debut season in top flight, they were set to host their games at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

On their first attempt, Gaddafi sealed a place in the top flight league following their 2-0 victory against Proline in the FUFA Big League Playoffs Final played in Njeru on August 17th this year.

This will be the first time for the two sides to meet in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter.

Gaddafi will rely more on players like Hassan Musana, Paul Musamali, former Mbale Heroes captain Jamaldine Buchochera among others.

Two days ago, Busoga United head coach Abbey Kikomeko Capello announced Anthony Mayanja as the first captain and, Michael Nantamu and Anwaru Mastafa Ntege as first and second assistants respectively.

The Jinja based side would like to revive and perform better than last season when they battled relegation threats up to the last moment.
