Police FC’s Stanbic Uganda Cup journey have come to an end following a 1-0 to Mbale Heroes at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Sunday.

Substitute Kanyike Bosco scored the only goal of the game for the Regional League side in the 87th minute.

Mbale Heroes make it to the quarter finals of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup for the first time in 23 years having won the trophy twice in 1976 and 1999.

Elsewhere, Mbarara City were 4-0 winners against Iganga Young 4-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara which saw them progress to quarter finals.

Kitengenyi Henry, Seiri Agumaho, Okwalinga Solomon and Otti Ronald were on the scoresheet for the Ankole Lions on Sunday.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup action resumes on Monday March 21 with Wakiso Giants FC hosting fellow Premier League side UPDF FC at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium as both sides targets quarterfinals.
