Wakiso Giants FC have progressed to the quarter-finals of this season’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup after a comfortable 3-0 victory over UPDF FC.

 

The game was held on Monday, 21st March 2022 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

 

Moses Aliro’s sublime form has continued to be a great factor for Wakiso Giants as he gave the hosts the lead in just 8 minutes before doubling it in 51st .

Late into the game, Ibrahim Kasule added icing to the cake with a goal in 70th minute to seal a 3-0 victory for the Purple Sharks.

 

Action in the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup continues tomorrow Tuesday, 22nd with two ties including the biggest Kampala derby between SC Villa and Express FC.

 

In Kavumba, 2019 finalists Soltilo Bright Stars host 2021 finalists BUL FC whilst the 10-time winners Express FC host 9-time winners SC Villa in a pending Round of 32 fixture.
