Record league winners SC Villa registered a slim 1-0 win against newly promoted MYDA on Saturday 13th February 2021 at Military grounds in Bombo in the Uganda Premier League.

It was a completely substitutes efforts in the 83rd minutes that secured a positive result for the Jogoo.

Midfielder Abdullah Salim’s ball to Ssenoga Muhammad in right flank crossed to Benson Muhindo to set for Faizal Kazibwe who calmly tapped home for Villa to break the dead rock in the 83rd minute of play for Villa to register a 1-0 win.
Villa wasted numerous chance in the first stanza, hitting the wood on four occasions off Isaac Ogwang.

MYDA gradually grow resilience in the second half creating numerous chance until a heartbreaking moment in the 83rd minute.
This was the first meeting between the two sides as MYDA shall continue to seek for a win in the top division this season.

MYDA have managed a draw which came in a 3-3 thriller against Mbarara City from five games.
The Jogoos confidently continued their perfect home run this season following their three wins against Mbarara City, KCCA FC and MYDA
Today’s win becomes Villa’s third of the season that moved them into the top five places on the UPL table.

The new additions to the squad, Sadam Masereka and Ronald Francis Olaki who had impressive shows in the previous trainings will wait on to have their debuts.
The jogoo were without Gavin Kizito who is at national duties with the Hippos at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and Fahad Bardiro who is out of the squad.
