Matchday 12 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continues today as Express FC hosts URA FC in a highly anticipated encounter at the Nakivubo Stadium.

The Red Eagles will be battling the Tax Collectors in a thrilling derby, with both teams sharing the same home stadium this season.

Express FC sits third on the table with 19 points, while URA FC is 9th with 15 points.

The Red Eagles come into this game on a high, having defeated KCCA FC in Lugogo and edging Mbarara City 3-1 in their last home game.

URA FC, however, will be looking to build on their impressive 3-0 away win against Wakiso Giants. With Nakivubo being their home turf as well, the Tax Collectors will be eager to capitalize on their familiarity with the pitch.

URA FC

The last meeting between the two teams saw Express narrowly beat URA FC 1-0, and in their last eight encounters, there has been a difference of only one goal for the winning team. This statistic promises an intense and closely contested match.

Express FC’s Sam Ssenyonjo, who has six goals this season, will be looking to add to his tally, while URA FC’s Ivan Ahimbisibwe, with seven goals, will be hunting for more.

A victory for Alex Isabirye’s URA FC will take them to 5th place with 18 points, only one point behind third-placed Express.

On the other hand, a win for the Red Eagles will help them maintain their third-place position and narrow the gap with leaders NEC FC to 4 points.

URA FC will be without goalkeeper Denis Otim, Norman Namanya, Nicholas Kabonge, and Shafic Lugolobi due to injuries, while Hudu Mulikyi is suspended.

Express FC, on the other hand, will miss Ronald Andabati and Dauson Mafumu due to injury and typhoid, respectively.
