SC Villa’s coach, Dusan Stojanovic, and Busoga United’s forward, Emmanuel Ajo were announced winners of the Pilsner coach and player of month of April and May.

The announcement was made Kati Kati restaurant in Lugogo on Wednesday evening, the 29th May 2024 by Uganda Premier League (UPL) Secretariat.

Despite his side (Busega United) being relegated, Emmanuel Ajo was named the best player for April and May.

Ajo’s scored four goals in six matches two assists during the two months. He also won one man of the match honor.

However, his side Busoga United faced relegation after a painful 3-0 loss to BUL FC on the final day.

Ajo beat Vipers’ captain Milton Karisa and Dennis Omedi of Kitara.

Karisa netted five goals in six games with no assists whilst, Kitara’s Dennis Omedi  scored four and assisted once in five games.

In the coaches’ category, Serbian tactician Dusan Stojanovic who guided SC. Villa to their 17th UPL title was crowned.

During the event, Stojanovic was represented by Villa CEO William Nkemba.

Stojanovic beat competition from BUL’s Abbey Kikomeko and Kitara’s Brian Ssenyondo to claim the award for the second consecutive month.

Stojanovic’s SC Villa won five out of their six matches in April and May.

Their only against KCCA FC on May 1st at the Mandela National Stadium.
