YMCA has won 2-0 over St. Lawrence University to occupy the top of Group C table.

The game was held this Wednesday evening, the 16th October 2024 at their main Campus in Buwambo.

This became the first win for YMCA after two draws this campaign

John Kiseka and Benon Kigenyi scored a goal each in either half to inspire the Buwambo based side to a comfortable home win.

Kiseka sent the hosts YMCA into a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute when he tapped in Ochwo’s cross.

In 80 minutes of play, Allan Katwe’s boys through Kigenyi sealed the win with a powerful strike after a great assist by Kiseka.

The victory pushed YMCA to the top of Group C on 5 points in three games while SLAU drop to second

The league continues tomorrow on Thursday the 17th October as Muteesa 1 Royal University will host MUST at Kirumba in Masaka at 3pm.
