FT: Bishop Stuart 3-1 ISBAT

Bishop Stuart University beat newbies ISBAT University by 3-1 at the ongoing PEPSI University Football League.

The match-day three game was held on Thursday evening, the 14th September 2023 in Mbarara.

Christopher Muhwezi, Honest Atwijukire and Ashil Agaba were on target for the Mbarara based Bishop Stuart University. Whilst, Geoffrey Pirwoth scored for ISBAT.

Muhwezi converted from a penalty mark in 31 minutes of the game to give the host Bishop Stuart a 1-0 lead.

Two minutes into the second half, Honest Atwijukire extended the lead to 2-0 in the 47th minute of play before Ashil  Agaba sealed the victory with the 3rd at 63.

ISBAT University through  Pirwoth Geoffrey scored via a penalty in 67 minutes to pull one back for the newbies.

Games continue today with one more tie between Kabale University and University of Kisubi (UNIK) at Kabale.
