Future Stars Sports Academy has launched a 10-day multi-sport residential holiday training camp, offering children from different schools across Uganda aged 7-17 a unique opportunity to develop their athletic abilities.

The camp, to be held at Gayaza Junior School, will feature expert coaching in football, netball, racket games, and other physical activities, aiming to keep children active and productive during the December holiday.

“We’re proud to partner with Gayaza Junior School and Gayaza High School to provide a conducive environment with quality sports facilities,” said camp coordinators.

The program is designed to nurture young talent, promote discipline, and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Simon Mugabi, CEO of Uganda Badminton Association and camp coordinator, brought 34 years of experience to the project, stating, “With my experience in leadership at continental level as vice president in charge of development in African Badminton Federation, I’ve been organizing camps since 1991.”

Brian Senyonga, Chairman of Wakiso Sports department, urged parents to support the initiative, saying, “We as Wakiso Sports department are part of this initiative because it has a package every child needs when it comes to sports development.”

Sarah Kizito, Headmistress of Gayaza Junior School, expressed pride in hosting the camp, saying, “I’m so proud as host school for this great opportunity to partner with Future Stars to shape the future of sports for the next generation.”

The camp concludes on December 17 with a showcase event, where participants will demonstrate their new skills.
