The 2024/25 betPawa Futsal Super League’s 10th matchday saw Mengo City continue their impressive journey, thrashing Busunju Spaks 8-0.

This resounding victory marks their eighth consecutive win, a remarkable turnaround after failing to secure a victory in their first two matches.

Mengo City’s attacking prowess was on full display, with six players getting on the scoresheet.

Samuel Omara and Farouk Tumwesigye led the charge, each scoring two goals, while Abdulkarim Tebera, John Musasizi, Sharifu Opuuli, and Akram Katende all found the back of the net.

This comprehensive victory takes Mengo City to 25 points from 10 games, solidifying their position as one of the top contenders in the league.

They currently sit second on the log, just two points behind leaders and defending champions Park FC.

In other games, Park FC maintained their lead at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over Kisenyi.

Michael Abura came off the bench to score twice, helping his team secure their ninth victory of the season.

QC Mbarara continued their resurgence with a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Crown Lubiri, while Kabuusu Clouds beat Kabowa Dream Team 4-2. Nansana ASKA also secured a hard-fought victory over Kisugu FC.

Meanwhile, Edgars Youth Programme finally broke their duck, securing their first win of the season in a 5-3 victory over Lubaga Grameen.

Youngster Brian Olwa was the star man in this victory, netting a first-half hat-trick to set his team on the path to victory.

Amir Waiswa and Eze Kombi also got on the scoresheet for the Edgar Watson-owned side.

The gap between Mengo City and Park FC is narrow, and with their current form, Mengo City will be looking to close the gap and take the top spot in the coming weeks.
