Mathias Kigonya, a Ugandan goalkeeper has completed a move to Tanzania Premier League side Azam FC.
Kigonya who was a free agent after his spell at Forest Rangers of Zambia joins fellow Ugandan Nicholas Wadada who currently trades his brand with Azam.
The former Bishop Nakyama Memorial, Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League, Kakamega HomeBoyz and Sofapaka SC in Kenya signed a two-year contract with the Wana Ramba Ramba.
Kigonya’s deal is already signed and the keeper is waiting to be unveiled soon.
Kigonya, 24 had a sublime season in Zambia where he led Forest Rangers to second place finish in the national super league, earning the goalkeeper of the season accolade.
Kigonya is to face competition from David Mapigano and Ally Mwadini for a starting spot at Azam FC.
