Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have secured a major boost ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season after renewing their partnership with global smart energy solutions giant CHINT Uganda for a further two years.

The renewed agreement, unveiled at the CHINT Centre on Jinja Road in Kampala, is valued at UGX 800 million, comprising UGX 400 million in shirt sponsorship and UGX 400 million in official lighting partnership support.

Under the lighting component of the agreement, CHINT will provide floodlighting, generator services and maintenance, paving the way for the return of night football at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

The partnership extension also coincided with the official unveiling of KCCA FC’s new home jersey for the 2026/27 campaign, featuring the club’s traditional yellow and blue colours alongside contemporary geometric detailing and high-performance fabric.

CHINT has been KCCA FC’s principal shirt sponsor since the 2022/23 season, and the latest agreement further strengthens a relationship centred on innovation, excellence and community development.

Speaking at the ceremony, CHINT Uganda Managing Director Sherry Shi Namutebi reaffirmed the company’s commitment to KCCA FC and Ugandan football.

“Our partnership with KCCA FC has been a fantastic journey of shared ambition and success over the years.

At CHINT, we believe in empowering communities through smart energy and innovation, and sports is one of the most powerful tools to unite people.”

She added that the decision to extend the partnership reflects CHINT’s continued confidence in the club and its wider impact.

“Extending our sponsorship for another two years reflects our commitment to KCCA FC, its passionate fanbase, and the growth of Ugandan football.

We cannot wait to see the team light up the league in these stunning new jerseys.”

KCCA Executive Director Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki welcomed the renewal, describing corporate partnerships as critical to the club’s ambitions of maintaining professional standards and achieving sustainable growth.

“We are grateful to CHINT for continuing to stand with KCCA FC.

Strategic partnerships like this enable us to maintain professional standards, and drive sustainable growth both on and off the pitch.

Together with CHINT, we are ready to elevate Kampala’s flag even higher.”

KCCA FC Chairman Eng. Sserunjogi Andrew Mukiibi said the renewal underlined the club’s appeal to major corporate partners, while also hailing the new kit as a reflection of KCCA FC’s identity and ambitions.

“Today marks another milestone as we extend our partnership with CHINT as this shows that KCCA FC remains a prime destination for corporate excellence.”

He added:

“The 2026/27 jersey represents our rich heritage, our modern identity, and our drive for silverware.

We look forward to wearing our jerseys with the CHINT logo with pride across the country as we fight for top honours this season.”

With the new agreement now in place, KCCA FC enter the 2026/27 season with both enhanced commercial backing and a significant infrastructure boost, particularly with the planned restoration of night football at Lugogo.
