KCCA FC Maintains Perfect Start With Third win

KCCA FC continues with her perfect start in the Uganda Premier League with a 2-0 win over the Ankole Lions in match day three game held on Friday 11th December 2020 at Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Today’s win becomes the third of the 2020/21 season after a 2-1 and 8-0 victories against Bright Stars and Onduparaka in the first and second respectively.

Denis Iguma headed in Moses a Aliro’s ball from a free kick in the 38th minute after a hard foul on him by Steven Othieno which injured him.

Later in the 40th minute of play, Aliro was stretched off to pave way for Hassan Musana.

KCCA FC went to break time with a slim 1-0 lead against the resilient visitors.

Early in the second half, Sam Ssenyonjo registered his name on the score sheet with a rebound in the 51st minute to extend KCCA FC’s lead to 2-0.

KCCA FC currently sit top of on the 16 team log with maximum  six points after match day three with maximum 9 points.

Aliro joins Gift Ali Bright Anukani, Musa Ramathan, Steven Sserwadda who are still in isolation and Andrew Kawooya whose future at the club is yet to be confirmed.

 

Mbarara registered a hard fought 1-1 draw with URA FC in Mbarara before a  3-0 loss to SC Villa in Bombo in match day two.

The Mbarara based side are yet to register a win this season

Mbarara City FC  missed the services of head coach Brian Ssenyondo who is currently on national duty with the Uganda U17 team in Rwanda for CECAFA AFCON zonal qualifiers.

Mohammed Kiseeka, the assistant head coach was the in charge in today’s defeat.
