Buwambo United Football Club was awarded a walkover after Kiboga United failed to show up for their Buganda Regional League match at Buwambo Grounds.

The win strengthens Buwambo’s flawless start to the 2025/26 season, with the team now tied with leaders Kajjansi United on points.

Buwambo United had already started the season on a high note, defeating Buikwe Red Stars 2-0 away in Buikwe and Seeta United at home.

The team’s perfect record remains intact, and they will look to maintain their form in the upcoming matches.

Kajjansi United’s Emphatic Win

Meanwhile, table-toppers Kajjansi United thrashed Nyendo FC 3-0 away at Mwererwe.

Daudi Batega, Allan Kasozi, and Elvis Ssekajugo were on target for Kajjansi United, who consolidated their position at the top of the table with nine points.

Simba FC’s Thrilling Win

In another exciting match, Simba FC put four past Young Simba in a 4-1 win at Namulonge.

The result moved Simba FC to six points, consolidating their third place on the table. Young Simba FC’s loss saw them drop to fourth position with four points.

Other Matches

In other matches, Masaka City drew 1-1 with Seeta United, while Wobulenzi United and Manyangwa shared spoils in a goalless duel. Uganda Sports Arena also secured a win against Buikwe Redstars.

Table Standings

Kajjansi United leads the table with nine points, followed closely by Buwambo United and Simba FC.

The league is shaping up to be a thrilling competition, with several teams still in contention for the top spot.
