The Nansana zone, Wakiso District 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National boys football qualifiers have reached the quarterfinal stage, following the successful completion of the group stage games.

In a fascinating twist, Red hot Greenlight Islamic Secondary School-Nansana’s senior and junior teams, both of which topped their respective groups, have been paired against each other in the quarterfinals.

The senior team, which led Group A with a perfect record of 15 points in five games, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one, will face off against their junior counterparts, who topped Group B with 10 points in five games, losing one and drawing one, while scoring four goals and conceding twice.

In the other quarterfinal matchups, Alliance High School, which finished second in Group A behind Greenlight Islamic Secondary School with 10 points, will face St. Augustine College.

Rochdale High School, which led Group C with 14 points in six games, will take on Passion Christian School, which tied on 13 points with Group D leaders but finished second on goal difference disadvantage.

The final quarterfinal pairing pits London College-Nansana, which led Group D, against St. Michael International.

London College has been the most prolific scoring side in the Nansana qualifiers, netting a record 17 goals without conceding in five matches.

The quarterfinals will take place tomorrow, followed by the semifinals in the evening, and the finals on Friday, 28th at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Last year, London College lost its dominance to current zone reigning champions Greenlight Islamic in the final at Kyabaggu Stadium.
