Gaddafi FC will play in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League next season after earning promotion by beating Proline 2-0 in the FUFA Big league playoffs final at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Steven Munguchi and Frank Mulimi netted the two decisive goals for the soldiers boys to hand their side promotion to Uganda’s top tier league.

Munguchi netted in the third minute, heading in from Fasil Najib’s well delivered corner.

Substitute Mulimi put the game to bed in the 80th minute when he received the ball from Joel Madondo, rounded off the goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato to net into an empty net.

Gaddafi who finished second in the Elgon group, will join Arua Hill and Tooro United as the three promoted club to next year’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The 2021/22 season is scheduled to kick off on 15th October 2021.
