FUFA announces new Uganda Cranes head coach
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has today Wednesday, the 2nd November 2023 announced Joseph Paul Put as new Uganda men’s senior national team the Cranes. Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has today Wednesday, the 2nd November 2023 announced Joseph Paul Put as new Uganda men’s senior national team the Cranes.

Paul Put Joseph replaces Milutin Sredojevic (Micho) who was sacked on 14th September 2023.

His immediate assignment will be against 17th Guinea in Morocco before the second tie against Somalia on 21st November.

We are a Federation that enter a competition to compete not to participate. We definitely focus on qualification to the 2026 World Cup. FUFA president Hon. Moses Magogo during the unveiling.

Paul Put has been awarded a two year contract, renewable depending on performance.

Over 250 candidates applied for the Uganda Cranes job after the announcement of Micho’s departure on 14th September.

The Belgian has previously coached Guinea, Kenya’s Harambee Stars, Congo, Gambia, Burkina Faso, Club Algers in Algeria among others.
