Ebonies renowned actresses Fauzia Nakiboneka and Lora Ndagire are set to face off in the first ever Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) Corporate Women’s fight.

This bout is scheduled for Tuesday, the 19th November 2024, at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The official launch of the event was held on Tuesday, the 22nd October 2024 at Paradise Fitness City Gym and Spa in Acacia,

Born on 15th 1977, Nakiboneka is more than just an actress. Known for her role as Sarah Gava in the popular TV drama OMG, she is also a singer, dancer, and humanitarian.

Nakiboneka’s rise to fame began with The Ebonies, Uganda’s oldest and most successful stage drama group, where she has been a leading actress since joining in 1999 during her Senior Six vacation.

Her acting career has spanned decades, starring in iconic Ugandan productions like That’s Life Mwattu and Kyekyo.

On the other hand, Lora Ndagire, whose coach is Dickson Muhairwe, is also gearing up for the fight, dismissing Nakiboneka’s bold claims with her own sharp retorts.

“She is a Queen on stage and screen but I will be the King and champion in the ring” Lora Ndagire.

“This is another great opportunity for the declining theatre. We have a chance now to carry the audiences from the sports industry to the theatre auditoriums.

I believe those who will turn be my funs in the ring will eventually fall in love with me on stage”. Added Ndagire.

Both stage and ring, there is art but boxing combines science and art, however, you can only delivered in all if you add discipline to the two packages.

On stage it’s always more about your

The president of the Uganda Boxing Federation, Moses Muhangi, hailed the event as a dream come true.

“For years, boxing has been perceived as a sport for men and especially for those in the ghettos. Launching this first Corporate Women’s fight is a major step forward in the sport’s development, bringing it into corporate spaces and empowering women,” said Muhangi.

The director of Paradise Fitness City Gym and Spa, Rahim Adtani, expressed his delight at collaborating with the Uganda Boxing Federation to support the fighters’ preparations.

We are honored to host Nakiboneka and Ndagire as they train for this historic fight. We can’t wait for November 9th”.
