Starting gradually in 2018 with a few categories awarded, Fortebet Real Stars monthly sports awards have consistently stood with excelling sports men and women giving prizes for greater performances.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic that stalled sports, the awards were last held in February this year.
However, the management has taken the mantle to resume with November and the grand event expected to be held on Wednesday, the 2nd at Copper Chimney Restaurant in Lugogo.

Three football young stars who include Vipers SC’s captain Halid Lwaliwa, Ivan Bogere (Proline), and Busoga United’s forward Isma Mugulusi face off in the football players category for November.

Ivan Bogere and Isma Mugulusi are currently in Tanzania featuring at the U-20 AFCON CECAFA zonal qualifiers.

Bogere has registered four goals on his name compared to Isma Mugulusi’s two in the tournament and the two are set to face hosts Tanzania in the cup final.

Whilst, Halid Lwaliwa has been at the senior side, the Cranes that played South Sudan’s AFCON qualifier double header in Kitende and Nairobi.

Lwaliwa came on as a substitute to score Uganda’s only goal as Uganda Cranes beat visitors South Sudan 1-0 before losing with the same score to the host in Nairobi. In Nairobi, he played full 90 minutes.

In the basketball category Ishmael Wainwright, Jimmy Enabu, Robinson Opong who are at the Silverbacks in Afrobasket championship held Egypt will compete while athletics nominees are Doreen Chemutai, Phillip Kiplimo, Stephen Kissa

Three categories including football, basketball and athletics are to be awarded.
