After the arrival of teams yesterday, on Wednesday, 30th August 2023, action is set to kick off this morning at the U15 Uganda Youth Football Associations (UYFA) National championship.

Nine games are lined up on day one menu card. At 9am, there will be Volf Soccer Academy and Sky Sports from Mbale whilst Super Heroes (Kawempe) face off with Budondo Soccer Academy from Jinja.

The second batch of games will shortly follow at 10am as Soccer Stars of Central up against a fellow Kampala side Kampala Galaxy. At the same time, Njeru based Rays of Grace will play Friends of Football from Gulu.

Meanwhile , Namasuba Juventus will lock horns with Prime View Soccer Academy as Wakiso’s Spot the Talent take on Mentor Sports International Academy will at 11am.

Kasese Bronken and Soccer, Entebbe road’s Garuga Soccer Academy and Paorinher Soccer Academy (Agago) will follow at Midday.

At 2pm there will only be one tie as Rays of Grace Academy battle Kampala Galaxy in one of the day’s best ties as each side will be up for a second game of the tournament.

The tourney’s official opening match will then follow at 4pm. It will be the home team Della Tore Academy and Masaka’s based El Cambio Academy.

The last game on day one menu will be between Friends Of Football (Gulu) and Kasese Bronken.

Over 288 boys football players, 48 officials have arrived at Luwero SS for U15 Uganda Youth Football Associations (UYFA) league championship.

The championship has attracted 16 teams pooled in four groups, with each team carrying 18 players and three officials.

The draws were held yesterday at the FUFA SIGs offices in Mengo, Kampala, conducted by youth delegate Mansoor Kabugo together with the technical committee.

The teams are accommodated at Luwero Secondary School and games kick on  31st August to Sunday 3rd September 2023.

This is the first edition in this format. Each sub-region is represented by one champion.

A total of 24 teams, sixteen (16) boys and eight (8) girls will compete at this year’s edition.

However, girls football draws shall be conducted on the arrival of teams on Friday, 1st September 2023.
