After missing a Uganda Cranes camp in Dubai due to claimed hamstring injury, Derrick Nsibambi started and lasted for 89 minutes as his Smouha SC claimed a 2-1 win over Emma Okwi’s Alexandria Ittihad in Egyptian Premier League today.

Nsibambi posted the claims of his hamstring injury on his official social media accounts at the beginning of this week and was immediately dropped by Jonathan Mckinstry from the travelling squad to Dubai.

“Am to miss Cranes Dubai camp due to harmstring injury wic i got in yesterdays game against Zamalek bt hope to bounce bck soon and for God and mi country”, reads the post.

Uganda Cranes squad in camp has this evening been boosted with the arrival of forward Edrisa Lubega ahead of the Sunday’s friendly match encounter with Al Nasr FC.
