Debutants Kanjuki Junior School from Kayunga have stunned the competition to book a place in the 2026 Buganda Schools Netball Championship final after an outstanding unbeaten run.

The newcomers dominated Group A, displaying remarkable consistency and attacking prowess throughout the preliminary stage.

Kanjuki opened their campaign with a commanding 18–0 victory over St. Apollo Nursery and Primary School before edging Good Times Kawaala 15–9 in a tightly contested encounter.

They later sealed their group dominance with a convincing 19–4 triumph over Twinbrook Schools.

Other results in the group saw Twinbrook Schools draw 8–8 with St. Apollo Nursery and Primary School, while St. Apollo defeated Good Times Kawaala 13–6. Good Times also secured a 13–6 win against Twinbrook Schools.

Kanjuki’s dream run continued into the semi-finals, where they were awarded a 20–0 walkover after Kyeyune Islamic Primary School failed to show up for the fixture.

They will now face a formidable opponent in Winsa Primary School, the Group B leaders, who secured their place in the final with a commanding 25–9 victory over Good Times Primary School – Kawaala in the other semi-final.

The stage is now set for a thrilling championship clash as the tournament’s surprise package, Kanjuki Junior School, seek to crown their sensational debut with Buganda netball glory.
