Malaba Youth Developmet Association (MYDA) Football Club Head Coach Abdu Samadu Masafiri has strongly noted that as a team they badly need the three points in a game they will be facing a hungry Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football club at King George Stadium, Tororo on Wednesday February, 17, 2021.
After a narrow 1-0 loss to Express, URA FC are set to make a along trip to King George Stadium, Tororo to face a struggling and winless MYDA FC on Match-day seven of the Uganda Premier League season 2020-21.
“They will come hungry for goals but we badly need the win” Coach Musafiri said in a pre match conference after their last training.
“I know they are wounded buffaloes who will come here to make a case to reply to their loss in their previous game against Express FC which was their first loss. We have lost two away games and a lot of lessons have been picked.”
Sam Simbwa’s charges will be hoping to get back to winning ways from this fixture against a side that has struggled and yet to win a game since they joined the Premier League.
“In our last home engagement, we drew 3-3 with Mbarara City managing our first point in the top flight. We are at home and badly need maximum points so we shall give our all as we face URA.”
“We are so much prepared and highly motivated as team and we have looked at our previous mistakes. It’s from that we have to go back to our feet.”
The winless Flying Eagles lost 1-0 to SC Villa in their last game at Military Bombo grounds in Bombo. However, the visitors (MYDA) conceded their least goals in a game this season showing a greatly improved defence which has been lacking.
“Our top scorer in Ibra Nsimbe missed our last game against SC Villa due to a slight injury but he is fully back in training and he is ready to get back to ground to score goals and help the club get points.”
According to Coach Musafiri, the team played well and they were too composed in the last outing against SC Villa. He further noted his step to maintain the line up with one change for Nsimber who will find his place back in the starting lineup.
“I have called upon the boys to be focused and play with comfort and zeal so that we get our first win because we have highly potential and talented players in our squad.” Musafiri concluded.
URA FC are sixth on the log with 11 points while hosts MYDA sit 15th with a point in six games. The team has conceded 20 goals and scored only eight in the six games played this season.
