The African football governing body, Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed news dates for the Total AFCON and FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers.

The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 have distorted every program in world of Sports, Football inclusive.

Since many countries have learnt how to live with the disease, the Confederation that is under the leadership of Ahmed Ahmed made a decision to schedule fresh dates for the qualifies of the top competitions in the world and the dates for both of them are between, 09th November 2020 and 16th November 2021.

Reference to the decision of CAF Executive committee during its meeting held on the 30th of June 2020 to postpone the final tournament of the total Africa cup of Nations, Cameron 2021 to January 2022, we would like to communicate to you the new dates of the qualifiers of the Africa cup 2021 and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.” An 18th August letter signed by Acting General Secretary of the confederation Abdelmounaïm Bah reads in parts.

According to letter, the match day three and four of Afcon qualifiers shall be played between 09th and 17th November 2020 and match days five and six shall be honored between 22nd and 30th March 2021.

While the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers shall kickoff between 31St May and 15th June 2021 for match days one and two, before match day three and four come in  between 30th August and 7th September the same year.

We are to watch match day five and six between 4th and 12th October.

The knockout fixtures shall be played between 08th and 16th November 2021.

Uganda Cranes lead group B of Afcon qualifiers with four points in two played games while the pearl of Africa football team is in group E of World Cup Qatar2022 qualifiers with neighbors, Kenya, Rwanda and Mali.
