Busiika Muslim Secondary School delivered a statement performance on day two of the UMEA Solidarity Games, powering into the round of sixteen with authority as the netball competition gathered momentum at Nkoma Secondary School in Mbale.

Coached by Deo Kanakulya, Busiika Muslim combined discipline with attacking precision to close out their Group B campaign on a high.

A dominant 20-04 victory over Buziga Islamic set the tone before they held their nerve in a closely fought 15-12 win against Bulo Parents.

The results secured a second-place finish in the group on six points, just behind Kibuli Secondary School, who maintained an unbeaten run to top the standings with eight.

Across the courts, the day was defined by emphatic wins and rising contenders.

Kibuli reinforced their title ambitions with convincing victories, dispatching Buziga Islamic 20-05 and overcoming Bulo Parents 18-12 with composure.

Kawanda Secondary School also impressed, brushing aside Nkoma Secondary School 22-09 before easing past Wamatovu 18-07 to sustain their strong run.

Kyantamba Secondary School continued to build momentum, grinding out a 13-10 win over Ibn Buz and later producing one of the standout results of the day with a 13-06 triumph against Masaka Secondary School.

Earlier, Masaka had shown promise with a comfortable 19-05 win over Nakaloke, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the competition.

In one of the day’s most gripping encounters, Hamdan Girls edged Namagabi Secondary School 16-15 in a tense battle, though they later fell 16-13 to Kasana Vocational in another tightly contested fixture.

Meanwhile, Namagabi responded emphatically by dismantling Bugembe Islamic 41-01, one of the biggest wins of the tournament so far.

Elsewhere, Gombe Secondary School and Sseke Secondary School delivered ruthless performances, overwhelming their opponents with high-scoring displays to underline their knockout credentials.

With the group stage concluded, attention now shifts to a compelling round of sixteen lineup.

Busiika Muslim face a stern test against Gombe Secondary School, while Kibuli Secondary School take on Sseke Secondary School in a clash of heavyweights.

Other fixtures promise equal intrigue, setting the stage for a fiercely competitive knockout phase.

Carrying momentum and growing belief, Busiika Muslim Secondary School now turn their focus to the elimination rounds, where consistency and composure will define the path to UMEA netball glory.
