Forward Brian Aheebwa has completed a move to Arba Minch City Football Club of Ethiopia from Kitara Football Club on a year employment contract.

The Ethiopian top tier side Arba Minch city is located about 430KM south of the capital, Addis Ababa.

Aheebwa won the 2024/25  Stanbic Uganda Cup with Kitara Football Club and played continental football in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The strike has also played for the national senior team (Uganda Cranes) with two caps on his name.

Brian Aheebwa also previously featured for Mbarara Sports Academy (MSA), Mbarara City, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) under tactician Mike Hillary Mutebi.

Aheebwa joins other Ugandan players who are currently trading their brands in Ethiopia.

Martin Kizza Lubwama, at Fasil Kenema, Simon Peter Oketch (Commerical Bank of Ethiopia), Geofrey Wasswa (Ethiopian Bunna), goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi (Defense Force Football Club), Charles Musiige (Diradawa), Thomas Ikara (Sidama Bunna), among others are some of the notable Ugandans in the Ethiopian top tier.
