The Boxing Champions League’s Week 2 main event was a highly contested bout between Kemis Ibrahim of Mutajjazi BC and Mugisha Patrick of Cobap BC.

The Lightweight (60kg) Elite contest was a nail-biter, with both fighters giving it their all and leaving everything on the ring.

Mugisha brought grit and resilience to the ring, making it difficult for Kemis to establish rhythm or dominance.

The back-and-forth exchanges had fans on the edge of their seats, with several rounds too close to call.

In the end, Kemis emerged victorious with a 4-3 decision, following a post-bout review.

“People will talk, but what matters is what’s on paper,” Kemis said afterwards, alleging rough tactics from Mugisha during the intense clash.

The decision sparked a mixture of cheers, gasps, and murmurs across the venue.

The evening’s undercard bouts were just as exciting, featuring several impressive performances.

Some notable wins included:
– Kimera Moses (Cobap BC) dominating Sekamate Jonah (Kalinabiri BC) 5-0 in the Elite 51Kg category
– Kizira Anwar (Ssaku BC) edging Kazungu Frank (Kyanja BC) 4-1 in the Elite 63.5Kg bout
– Nsamba Ronald (Lukanga BC) and Yanick Monga (Lukanga BC) securing stoppage wins in their respective bouts
– Musulube Stephen (Sparks BC) delivering a flawless performance with a 5-0 unanimous win over Senyonjo Joshua (Lukanga BC) in the Youth 67Kg division.

The Boxing Champions League continues to deliver thrilling matches and exciting performances, showcasing the best of Ugandan boxing talent.
