Winning 5000m in IAAF Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava, taking a gold in 3000m race is just a piece of cake.

Uganda’s youngster, Jacob Kiplimo once again won a gold medal in 3000m race held on Thursday, 17th September 2020 in Rome Diamond league.

The former IAAF World Cross country junior championship gold medalist, clocked 7:26:64 in race, Outsprinting Norway’s Jacob Ingebrigtsen on the home straight and setting a personal best.

Jacob Kiplimo win brings Uganda’s international gold medal tally to three medals in this COVID era. The champion has two medals while Joshua Cheptegei has one that came with break of a 16-year world record.
