Amus College, Elite High, Buddo continue to impress at USSSA National Boys Basketball Championship

The ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National boys Basketball championship in Bukedea has seen some impressive performances from teams.

Elite High School-Entebbe, despite being a youthful side, has continued to defy expectations with two wins in three games and one loss in their group games.

The Entebbe-based team convincingly won 27-17 against Viva College in day two, before succumbing to Amus College 35-26 in a thrilling encounter. Elite High SSchool had earlier won 26-14 against Ndejje SS.

Amus College, the defending East African Secondary Schools champions, has been dominant, winning all three of their games so far.

The Kacumbala side eased past Nabumali SS 48-12 in their opening match, before beating Ndejje SS 46-8 in their second game.

Their victory over Elite High School was their third successive win, and they remain unbeaten in the tournament.

Former champions Buddo SS have also been impressive, with three wins in their games so far.

They secured a hard-fought 25-24 win over St. Michael and thrashed Majansi High School 55-16.

Other notable results from the day include Seroma Christian High School’s 30-22 win over Mbale SS and Jovoc’s 20-10 victory over Jinja SS.

The championship continues to witness thrilling matches, with teams battling it out for a spot in the knockout stages.
