The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup got off to a spectacular start, with matchday one featuring thrilling matches across the region.

The participating teams showcased their talent and skill, setting the tone for an exciting tournament.

Kyaddondo Edges Bulemeezi 1-0

In a closely contested match at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo, Kyaddondo, the 2008 champions, secured a vital 1-0 win over three-time champions Bulemeezi.

Substitute Sudais Ssentamu scored the winning goal after a brilliant run by left-back Mmande Kisuze Samuel.

Ssentamu’s goal earned Kyaddondo maximum points in their opening match, and he was named Man of the Match.

Buluuli Triumphs Over Ssese 2-0

In the Bulange group, Buluuli registered a convincing 2-0 away win over Ssese at Lutoboka grounds.

Steven Mugisha opened the scoring in the 6th minute, and Joseph Enyabu sealed the victory with a second-half goal.

Mugisha’s outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

Kabula and Ssingo Play Out Goalless Draw

In a tightly contested match at Bakijjulula Playground, Kabula and Ssingo played out a goalless draw.

Kabula’s goalkeeper, Hakim Mutebi, made impressive saves to keep a clean sheet and was named Man of the Match.

– Bugerere vs Buvuma at Ntenjeru Ssaza Ground
