Agnes Nabukenya stole the show as Kawempe Muslim thrashed Katikamu SDA 10-0 in the 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National girls’ football tournament.

Nabukenya’s record-breaking six goals were the highlight of the match, which showcased the defending champions’ impressive form.

Shadia Nabirye added a brace to Kawempe Muslim’s tally, while forward Cynthia Kirenga and Belinda Hope Nabawanuka each scored a goal.

The win cements Kawempe Muslim’s position as one of the top contenders in the tournament.

In other matches, Highway Kiganda and Lammenais SS played out a 1-1 draw, with Teddy Nakabuye scoring for Highway Kiganda and Gloria Nabukenya netting for Lammenais.

Rines SS secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Jinja SS, thanks to an own goal from Mugonyi Dinnah off a powerful captain Patricia Nanyanzi Nakato’s free kick and a long-range strike from Harimah Mupyanga.

Elsewhere, Kisozi Seed and Bugisu High School drew 1-1, while Sheema Girls dominated Kapchorwa SS with a 3-0 victory.

The tournament will continue tomorrow morning before pausing for the official opening ceremony in the afternoon.
