FUFA Super 8: Custodian Mutakubwa spot kicks heroics win BUL FC trophy

BUL FC goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa was the hero saving three penalties as Bul FC defeated URA FC 3-1 in penalty shoot outs to be crowned champions of the FUFA Super 8.

Both sides played to a full-time stalemate in a game which was played at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo, on Sunday 3rd September 2023.

Mutakubwa who was introduced in the last time of the game replacing Tom Ikara managed to save Sharif Kimbowa, Nicholas Kabonge and Hudu Mulikyi’s penalty kicks to earn Bul FC a deserved victory.

Lawrence Tezikya, Jerome Kirya and Mutakubwa the hero himself managed to convert from the spot.

Midfielder Joshua Lubwama was the only URA FC player that managed to convert his penalty.

URA FC goalkeeper Denis Otim also managed to save Ronald Otti’s penalty.

In the early kick off KCCA FC defeated SC Villa 3-2 in a five goal thriller to finish third.

Arafat Usama scored twice for KCCA FC as the third goal came from Ashiraf Mugume.

David Owori and Charles Lwanga Neymar were the goal scorers for SC Villa.
