USSSA Fresh Diary Games: Taggy beat St. Noa to defend title, Kitende, Buddo clinch basketball trophies

Taggy High School Entebbe defeated National and FEASSSA reigning champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana by 1-0 to defend their 2022 Wakiso district crown.

Kamiyat Nayigaga heroic moment carried  Taggy High past St. Noa to their second consecutive Wakiso district trophy.

Taggy won 3-1 against Fairway High School-Kazo in the quarter-final and 2-1 against Wakiso Hill in the Semi-final to book a final date with St. Noa.

St. Noa Girls-Zana squeezed past Rines SS in the Semi-final to the final by a 4-2 penalty shootout win after a goalless normal time draw.

Taggy, St. Noa, Rines, Wakiso Hill, Fairway High School, Aiden College and God Cares qualified for USSSA Fresh Diary Games to be held in Mbarara.

 

In basketball finals, St. Mary’s-Kitende defeated St. Noa Girls-Zana by five baskets to defend the trophy.

Kitende massively dominated the game to beat arch rivals St. Noa 51-41 at WAKISHA headquarters in Wakiso.

Holders Kitende beat Exodus College, Wakiso in the quarter-final before their hard fought slim 32-28 win against rivals Buddo SS in the Semi-final.

On the other hand, St. Noa beat Watoto 42-22 to storm regional consecutive final since 2019.

They registered a huge 36-6 win over Trinity College Nabbingo in semi-final to book date with St. Mary’s Secondary Boarding school.

Buddo SS won by 52-41 against Mbogo Mixed to defend the title the boys’ title.
