Wakiso Giants head coach John Ayala Luyinda claims that his charges are confident that they can edge Vipers ahead of their crunch meeting.

The Purple Sharks will be targeting their fourth win on the trot when we host champions Vipers SC at Kabaka Kyabaggu on Tuesday.

“We are coming off some good results and that gives us motivation. Vipers is a very good side with quality players and a good technical staff but we believe in ourselves that we can do well against them,” Luyinda said.

“We miss 3-4 of our players but the ones we shall select tomorrow will probably do the job,” he added.

The three wins for Wakiso Giants have come against Blacks Power (2-1), UPDF (0-1) and URA (2-1).

Meanwhile, Vipers SC enter this game after registering their maiden victory of the campaign following a 3-0 win against Maroons.

The trio of Titus Ssematimba, Marvin Nyanzi and Ronald Madoi are still away with the national U-20 team and so miss out.

Forward Frank Ssebuufu limped off against URA and remains a doubt for the clash.

On the other hand, Paul Mucureezi and Lumala Abdu are unavailable for Vipers but defender Livingstone Mulondo could feature after missing the last encounter with a knock.

There have been seven meetings in all competitions with Vipers winning four and the rest ending in stalemates.
