Express FC returns to league action on Friday March 25th away in Mbarara when they face the Ankole Lions in an early kick off at Kakyeeka Stadium.

James Odoch’s charges are looking for their first league win in eight outings across all competitions.

According to interim coach James Odoch, his charges are ready to register maximum points on Friday.

“We’ve concluded our last training ahead of our away game against Mbarara City FC,” Odoch said before adding.

“Majorly we’ve been working on our finishing, we’ve been playing well and dominating but couldn’t finish so these past two days we’ve concentrated on scoring and I think if we score one or two goals we shall be able to win the game,” he added.

This will be the eighth meeting between both sides with the Red Eagles managing two wins to Mbarara City FC’s two with three draws between both sides in as many games.

The Red Eagles won the last meeting 2-0 at the Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.

Both teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw the last time they met at Kakyeeka stadium.

Center back Murushid Juuko remains sidelined while Yaya Mahad, Erick Kambale and Abel Etrude are also not available.

Enock Ssebagala is available for selection after sitting out the Uganda Cup game due to suspension.

For Mbarara City, Aheebwa Jasper returns from the sidelines after picking up an injury against URA in the league encounter played at kakyeka.

Jude Ssemugabi, Bamba Soulymane and Karim Ramathan are all ruled out due to injury.
