Uganda’s finest SC Villa have progressed to the round of 16 of this season’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup after a victory over arch rivals Express FC.

The game that ended 3-4 after penalty shootouts was played this evening at Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.

 

The two sides settled for a 0-0 draw before SC Villa won the shootout session to set up a time against Onduparaka FC in the Round of 16.

Saddam Masereka, Nicholas Kabonge, Amir Kakomo and Ibrahim Saddam Juma converted for the Jogoo.

Faisal Ssekyanzi and Eric Kambale missed to convert for Express FC to surrender the victory to the Blues.

Enock Walusimbi, George Ssenkaba and Arthur Kiggundu scored the Red Eagles’ three penalties.

Else where, BUL FC beat Soltilo Bright Stars 3-4 also on penalties after a 2-2 draw with Ndugwa Karim scoring a brace for BUL FC in the normal time.

 

Action in the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup continues tomorrow with one game as Maroons FC host Ndejje University at Prison grounds in Luzira.
