Wakiso Giants’ poor form in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continued following their loss against Arua Hill.

The Purple Sharks lost 4-2 against the Leopards in the Star Times Uganda Premier League game at Barifa Stadium in Arua on Wednesday.

Rashid Kawawa scored a first half hattrick while Alfred Leku scored the other goal as the first half ended 4-0 in the hands of Arua Hill.

The Leopards bludgeoned Wakiso with four goals in the first 38 minutes of the contest, the first coming off Rashid Kawawa’s header after Samuel Ssekamatte some-how benefited from Derrick Emukule’s mishandling.

They immediately doubled their advantage on the counter as Alfred Leku showed immense braveness to robe Emukule before sloting into an empty net.

Wakiso conceded the third on 14 minutes, allowing Kawawa to cut-inside from the left before his low shot founds into way in to the back of the net.

Kawawa completed his hattrick with seven minutes to halftime as he lashed onto Gaddafi Wahab’s clever freekick and poked it over Emukule.

Titus Ssematimba and Sam Ssenyonjo scored Wakiso Giants’ consolation goals later in the second half but they were unable to rescue a point.

The win left Arua Hill fifth on the log with 32 points while Wakiso Giants is now seventh with 27 points.
